'The drill hall and armoury of the E Co. 4th Territorial Force Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment are in Great Park street.' (Kelly, 1910)

A Volunteer Rifle Corps (I & K Companies 1st Volunteer Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment) was established here in 1859, the second company being formed in 1877; the muster roll for the year 1902 shows a total of 200 men, all of whom are efficient. The drill hall and armoury are in Church street.' (Kelly, 1890)

The building was acquired by Wellingborough Council in 2004 and let to a charity, the Daylight Centre Fellowship, for use as a community resource, including training, education and a cafe.

It is due to be demolished in 2010 as part of the first phase of the town centre redevelopment.

Thank you to Alan Harland of the Daylight Centre Fellowship for supplying information.
