Drill Hall, High streetall, High st

'B Co. 4th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment, High street.' (Kelly 1911)

Prior to this, Kelly, 1891, records: 'The head quarters of the K Company 2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment are situated here; a new drill hall with instructor's residence is now (1890) being erected.'

Kelly 1899 lists 'Copp, Sergt. William, drill instructor to K Co. 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, High street.'

Online references suggest that there is still a drill hall at the rear of 89 High street (2009).
