The drill hall on Penn street is in good condition and is in use by Air Cadets.
There was also a Leicestershire Yeomanry Riding School in the town. This was in the building which has been refurbished and converted into the County Museum. Apparently the King of the Belgians kept his horses and carriages there during the Great War.
