Kelly 1895, records:
'The Drill Hall, in Brecon road, built by public subscription in 1866, at a cost of £2,000, is the head quarters of the 3rd (Glamorganshire) Volunteer Batt. Welsh Regiment, (H, I & K Companies), which now numbers 293 officers and men.'
and also:
'3rd Volunteer Battalion, Welsh Regiment, head quarters of H, I & K companies, Drill hall, Brecon road; armoury, 4, Wellington street.'
